Sarutagawa Bridge
猿田川橋
Shizuoka, Japan
246 feet high / 75 meters high
361 foot span / 110 meter span
2009
Sarutagawa Bridge is one of two back to back concrete truss beam spans on the E1A Expressway near Shizuoka, Japan. This rare type of prestressed beam span has steel Warren truss beams for the vertical walls with more conventional concrete for the deck and bottom slabs and external post-tensioned tendons inside the beam.
Just to the east is the similar Tomoegawa Bridge.
