Gongnong Bridge is a 2-lane beam bridge along the G248 just south of Ningnan City in Sichuan Province. The crossing is a switchback bypass improvement to make this stretch of the route quicker and safer.
Just to the west is the large Heishuihe suspension bridge with a main span of 550 meters. The large river canyon is under the deep waters of the reservoir that was formed behind the 277 meter tall Baihetan Dam.
