One of the highest bridges in Shaanxi Province, the Luohe River Bridge is a continuous rigid-frame concrete viaduct with 3 main spans of 525 feet (160 mtrs) and is very similar in size to the Huluhe Bridge located just a few kilometers to the south on the same G65 Baotou-Maoming Expressway between Huangling and Yan’an.
The main pier of Luohe is one of the tallest in Shaanxi Province at 143.5 meters. The main single-cell beam spans have a width of 12 meters and a bottom width of 6.5 meters. The beam depth is 9 meters over the piers and 3.5 meters deep at midspan. The deck has a width of 24.5 meters.
