Pingyou Bridge is one of dozens of high bridges along the G76 which has more high bridges then any other expressway on earth. Pingyou is that rare Chinese beam bridge in the 100 meter height range that uses only simple beam spans of 40 meters instead of the more conventional long span haunched beam that is cantilevered outward from one or two central piers. The bridge is 400 meters long composed of 10 spans of 40 meters atop piers as tall as 77 meters. The crossing is located at kilometer 61.
