Daping Number 1 Bridge
大坪1号大桥
Yunyang, Chongqing, China
(525) feet high / (160) meters high
656 foot span / 200 meter span
2010
One of the highest beam bridges along the great G42 Hurong Expressway that traverses along the mountains on the north side of the Yangtze River 3 Gorges region, the Daping Number 1 beam bridge is located about 20 kilometers east of Yunyang city. Located at kilometer 1,426, the bridge was 154 meters above the reservoir surface during my visit in 2011. The original river level is probably about 6 meters lower hence the official height of 160 meters.
