One of China’s more celebrated railway bridges, the Nanpanjiang Badu bridge is unique for having V-shaped strut supports atop each of the 3 tallest piers. Located near Badu in the Bose region of Guanxi province, the viaduct is one of the largest on the Nanning-Kunming railway line.
A low reservoir formed below the crossing sometime after the bridge was completed.
