Gaofengba Bridge is the first of several high beam spans on the north-south expressway between Liupanshui and Hezhang. The giant 110+200+110 meter main span configuration sits atop piers as tall as 148 meters. The 760.6 meter long structure crosses 215 meters above the Da River with span configurations of (2×30+2×40m)+(106.8+200+180+106.8m)+3×(3×40m) and (2×30+2×40m)+(106.8+200+180+106.8m)+(3×40+2×40m). During planning this crossing was also referred to as the Lianshanhe Bridge.
Just a few kilometers to the east is another local high level bridge expected to open in 2025.
