Shijiazhai Bridge
石家寨大桥
Jishou, Hunan, China
295 feet high / 90 meters high
131 foot span / 40 meter span
2012, 2017
Shijiazhai Bridge was originally is a simple 4-lane beam structure that opened in 2012 with 16 spans of 40 meters and is one of 4 nearly back to back beam bridges just north of Jishou City where the G65 expressway junctions with the S99 Yongshun expressway. The 3 other big beam bridges nearby include Tonghe, Elipo and Zhuangjiapo Bridges.
In 2017 the Shijiazhai Bridge was heavily modified and expanded to become part of the giant aerial interchange with the S99 Yongshun expressway that forks off to the north. The newer structure includes a towering 270 degree spiral exit ramp that is likely the highest of its type in the world with piers more then 80 meters tall. The construction of this expressway interchange also required a widening of the Zhuangjiapo Bridge located just to the north of the Shijiazhai Bridge.
The giant Shijiazhai Bridge interchange viaduct has 4 high points that are 90, 88, 86 and 86 meters above the ground.

The older G65 Expressway cuts across the new bridge interchange that marks the start of the S99 Yongshun Expressway.
