Located on a remote stretch of the G65 expressway in Chongqing Province near the border with Hunan Province, the Apengjiang Bridge crosses the Apeng River over a low reservoir. The beam span bridge has a configuration of 90+170+90+ 5x30 meters.
The G65 expressway is most famous for the spectacular Aizhai suspension bridge to the south and the Wulingshan Bridge to the north.
