Baishuijiang Bridge is currently the highest roadway arch bridge in the world with a deck 322 meters above the normal level of the Baishui River. In a few years the arch height record may be exceeded by at least two other Chinese spans including the Malinghe Bridge Zhaozhuang and the Jinshajiang Railway Chuanzang Bridge. India's Chenab River Railway arch bridge is the highest arch overall at 362 meters.
The main span of the Baishuijiang Bridge is 330 meters with a total length of 755.8 meters and is the largest crossing on the Yizhao Expressway between Yibin and Zhaotong in Yunnan Province. There are also two platform overlooks for great views of the gorge and bridge.
The deck is 265 meters above the roadway and 280 meters above the full reservoir.
The Chongqing to Kunming High Speed Railway Bridge is located just downstream of the expressway bridge.
