Located somewhere along the Tonghuang expressway north of Xian City, the Changjiahe Bridge is one of several large beam bridges on the route. The newer expressway is located approximately 20 kilometers west of the G65 expressway and parallels the older expressway from northern Xian all the way to Huangling.

The alignment follows a gentle curve and consists of a central span arrangement of 75+140x2+75 meters with a maximum pier height of 90 meters.
