Dabaopu Bridge is one of at least a dozen high beam bridges on the 6-lane Chongqing to Guiyang 2nd expressway. Dabaopu Bridge is located within a unique and crowded river valley where 3 major Guizhou north-south expressways criss-cross over each other. As a result, each expressway route has at least 2 high beam bridges.

The G75 Lanhai Expressway came first in 2006 followed by the Zheng'an to Xishui Expressway in 2020 and the Chongqing to Guiyang 2nd Expressway in 2021.
