The Hanigong Bridge crosses the scenic Shi River canyon midway between Jishou and Zhangjiajie on the Zhanghua expressway. The crossing is located over a shallow lake from a downstream dam. The Shi River empties into the much larger Mengdong River which is crossed by the 2 highest arch bridges in Hunan.
