Hongguang Bridge opened in 2020 as the highest interchange bridge in the world. The forest of towering piers connects the older Yuanmo Expressway with the newer Yuanman Expressway that runs along the south side of the Red River gorge. The Hongguang Bridge has piers as tall as 90 meters supporting spans of 40 meters.
