Located just across from the street from Massachusetts famous Revere Beach, the Lightning was one of the Traver triplets. Lightning had an unprecedented onslaught of steep, heavily banked spiral drops. The tight layout also featured a wild figure 8 that tossed riders from side to side as the train switched directions with banking of more than 70 degrees.

The ride was eventually replaced with the Prior & Church designed Cyclone that ran from 1925-1969 before it was torn down in 1974.
