One of China's highest glass pedestrian tourism spans, the Nanjiang Gorge Glass Footbridge is part of the Nanjiang River Canyon Scenic Area only an hours drive north of Guiyang City. The popular tourist area allows rafters to go down the rapids of the Nan River as well as descend into the gorge on a glass bottomed slide. Along the river you can also traverse cliffwalks and cross the river on at least one low level suspension footbridge.

The Nanjiang Glass Footbridge was built just 150 meters east of the even higher Nanjiang Railway Bridge which is the highest railway beam bridge on earth surpassing the Qingshui Railway bridge which is also located in Guizhou Province. The twin line span also rank among the world's 20 highest railway bridges of any kind of which 19 are in China.

Located on a high speed line between the big city of Guiyang and Kaiyang 62 kilometers to the north, passengers can get from station to station in just under 30 minutes.
