A frame bridge with inclined piers that are tilted out over the edge of a deep gorge, the Rjecina Ravine bridge is located in Rijeka, Croatia. Built along the original E65 highway from 1984, a second parallel span was completed that turned the route into a 4-lane highway as it snakes through the city of Rijeka. The first concrete beam bridge was constructed with an anchor block and cable stays for the struts and then cantilevered segments for the central beam span over the gorge.
