Shangbuluo Bridge is one of several high beam spans on the Lijiang to Shangri-La expressway near the famous Tiger Leaping Gorge tourist region of Yunnan.
Early plans called for a beam bridge approximately twice as high at 240 meters before the alignment of the expressway was moved further east away from the Chongjiang River canyon. About 10 kilometers to the south is the spectacular Jinshajiang Hutiaoxia suspension bridge.
Shangbuluo Bridge has a central span configuration of 83+150+83 meters on piers as tall as 108 meters.
