Hidden high up in the mountains of Fukuoka and Oita Prefectures, the Somanootsuri Footbridge was one of Japan's earlier long span footbridges having been completed in 1998. The main span of 150 meters has a cable rise of 9 meters making for a sag ratio of 16.7 to 1.
