Located about 10 kilometers east of Badong along the southern slope of the mighty Yangtze River gorge, the Wuyuandong or Forest Park Bridge leaps across a deep creek gully along route 334 that eventually dead ends in the mountains along county road 211. The total length of the bridge is 220 meters with a main span of 160 meters. The concrete arch has a span to rise ratio of 6 to 1 with a rise of 26.66 meters. The bridge width is 1.5 meters of sidewalk, 9 meters for vehicles and another 1.5 meters of sidewalk.

A large portion of the bridge height is hidden beneath the Three Gorges reservoir. The Badong Forest Park has many kilometers of hiking trails and waterfalls.
