One of the early beam bridges of great height in Shaanxi Province, the Xushuihe Bridge carries the G5 expressway northeast from Xian City on a plateau paralleling China's great Yellow River.

The span configuration contains two large prestressed beam spans of 200 meters and a maximum pier height of 111 meters. The total length is 1,069 meters.
