Yesanhe Arch Bridge
野三河大桥
Gaopingzhen, Hubei, China
400 feet high / 122 meters high
295 foot span / 90 meter span
1977
The highest bridge in China upon its completion in 1977 at 400 feet (122 mtrs), the Yesanhe road bridge is now one of 4 bridges that cross the gorge within view of each other including a higher railway bridge and two pipeline bridges. A fifth crossing and the highest of all came in 2009 when the West Hurong highway opened several miles away with a prestressed concrete beam bridge 689 feet (210 mtrs) above the Yesanhe River gorge.
