The Yongyang Bridge is part of a new 8 kilometer upgrade and extension of old route S307. The new link makes a direct connection from the city of Nayong to the G76 expressway interchange just northeast of the city center. The new road will also bring new developments to the eastern half of the city which was cut off by the deep Gala River gorge.
The 396 meter long bridge has a main span of 120 meters and opened to traffic in 2014.
