There are higher and longer railway bridges along the Guiyang to Chongqing high speed railway line but none are as large and colossal as the great Dagangou Railway Bridge. Commanding a prominent location on a mountain slope high above the G75 expressway, the kilometer long structure is seen everyday by thousands of passing motorists as a reminder of just how much faster transportation can get if they choose to go by rail.

The twin tracked central span is 128 meters resting on piers 103 and 128 meters tall. The total span configuration is 1x24+17x32 +68+128+68 +3x32 meters.
