Malinghe Bridge Jinzhou is set to break several records among high bridges when it is completed in 2024. The 490 meter span suspension bridge will become the widest high level bridge in the world with 8 lanes of traffic spread across a truss stiffened deck 36.3 meters wide. This record might be surpassed several years later by the nearby Malinghe Zhaozhuang arch bridge that will have a 40 meter wide deck.
The 235 meter high Malinghe Bridge Jinzhou crossing will also become the world's highest double decker bridge with 2 metro rail lines running along the lower level of the 11 meter deep truss to be added at a later date. The current record holder is the 152 meter high Pit River Bridge in California.
The final bridge record of the Malinghe Bridge Jinzhou span will be as the world's highest metro line bridge, a title currently held by the the Caijia Jialing River cable stayed monorail metro line bridge in Chongqing City. This metro line height record will also be surpassed by the Malinghe Zhaozhuang arch bridge. The older Malinghe Arch Bridge is 143 meters high and has walkways that offer great views of the Malinghe Three Bridge as well as the many waterfalls within the canyon.
The Maling River gorge is slowly building an arsenal of high bridges that will eventually give the region a greater concentration of high level bridges then any other single location in the world. Higher spans nearby include Malinghe Bridge Fenglin and the future Malinghe Zhaozhuang Bridge (Malinghe Number 4) and another possible road and rail combination currently dubbed Malinghe Bridge Number 5.
