Portugal’s third highest bridge opened in 2003 on a remote stretch of the A23 Autostrada da Beira-Interior. Towering approximately 394 feet (120 mtrs) from road deck to the Rio Ocreza, this viaduct appears even higher than it is from the close spacing (50 mtrs) of the huge piers. The bridge is just 1 mile (1.6 kms) downstream from the Pracana and Rio Ocreza Dams.
