Located several kilometers northeast of Chongqing City airport, the Chaoyangsi Bridge is part of the six-lane northern Chongqing Ring Expressway. The left viaduct is 1522.665 meters long while the right viaduct is 1488.837 meters long.
The beam bridge structure crosses two deep ravines with approach spans of 40 meters and a main bridge section of 75 +130 +75 meters and 75 +130 × 3 +75 meters above the main creek. The main piers vary in height between 68 and 120 meters.
