Guaitara Bridge is the largest of several major cantilevered beam spans that were built as part of an upgrade to the older Rumichaca – Pasto highway in the mountainous Narino region of Colombia. The project started in 2015 with the final bridges opening in 2021. The main construction contractor was Consorcio SH.
The 3 other beam spans include Boquerón, Porvenir, Magdalena and Rio Sapuyes Bridges.
