Houxihe Bridge
后溪河大桥
Wuxi, Chongqing, China
(476) feet high / (145) meters high
377 foot span / 115 meter span
2023
Houxihe Bridge is one of China's many tall T-beam bridges where two spans share a single pier. Most are in tight canyons where the slopes are too steep or difficult to construct a stable pier foundation.
The 291 meter long crossing of the Houxi River is composed of two main spans of 115 meters supported on a pier 120 meters tall. In addition to the Houxihe Bridge, the Wuzhen Expressway also has one of China's highest interchanges at over 80 meters. The route connects Wuxi and Zhenping.
