Scenic Railway Sampler
With more than 100 installations around the world, the Scenic Railway was one of the most popular types of coasters ever built. Their heyday was generally between 1885 and 1920 though several were built throughout Europe into the 1930s. Although not very tall, scenic railways were often very long with two or three lifts leading to a series of gentle drops and turns often hidden inside tunnels covered by fake mountain terrain.
