Gaofengba Bridge is the first of several high beam spans on the north-south expressway between Liupanshui and Hezhang. The giant 110+200+110 meter main span configuration sits atop piers as tall as 167 meters. The 755 meter long structure crosses approximately 220 meters above the Da River. During planning this crossing was also referred to as the Lianshanhe Bridge.
Just a few kilometers to the east is another local high level bridge expected to open in 2023.
