The highest bridge along Japan's E1A Expressway east of Nagoya City, the Aokigawa Bridge is a large single viaduct with cantilevered beam spans composed of vertical corrugated steel plates instead of the more common all concrete box. Maximum pier height is 78.8 meters.
Just to the south is the equally spectacular Otogawa Bridge.
