Opened in early 2010, the huge Kushma-Gyadi catenary suspension footbridge is one of the world’s highest of its type. Crossing 384 feet (117 mtrs) above the Madi River, the trail bridge is also one of Nepal’s longest with a span of 1,128 feet (344 mtrs).
Several years later the city of Kushma welcomed 3 more spectacular suspension footbridges all that rank among the longest span footbridges in the world. These include the 347 meter long Kushma Balewa Footbridge, the 359 meter long Kushma Mudikuwa Footbridge and in 2019 the Kushma Bungy Footbridge with span of approximately 490 meters making it the longest span footbridge in Asia.
