Located just a few kilometers from the Vietnam border, the Nanji Bridge is one of Yunnan, China's most southern bridge spans. Located along the Xinhe Expressway, the 517.55 meter long beam structure has a span configuration of 4x20 +78+2x140+78 meters on piers as tall as 65 meters.

The Xinhe Expressway ends at the border of China and the Vietnamese city of Lào Cai.
