Niutangkou Bridge
牛塘口大桥
Suochengzhen, Hunan, China
338 feet high / 103 meters high
410 foot span / 125 meter span
(2003)
Lost on the remote S216 two-lane mountain road in central Hunan Province, the Niutangkou Bridge is a simple but dramatic 125 meter arch that crosses over a deep, V-shaped gorge. The span was likely constructed to upgrade an older section of the local road that had an abundance of turns and steeper grades.
