San Francesco Bridge
Viadotto San Francesco Bridge
Cagnano Varano, Foggia, Italy
(262) feet high / (80) meters high
(148) foot span / (45) meter span
1980

Completed in 1980, the San Francesco Bridge soars high above the coastline of Varano Lake along the Adriatic Sea of Italy. The west end of the viaduct plunges into a tunnel that was bored directly below the city of Cagnano Varano.

The newer SS693 allowed traffic to safely bypass the many twists and turns of the older route SS89.
